We've always been dog owners, but the desire to have a dog that is good with company was always desired. When Lloyd and I got together I already had a dog. He was a 25 pound lap down that loved people but not other dogs. We longed for a dog that would play with other dogs as well as be a loyal family dog. Fast forward to 2020, our beloved
We've always been dog owners, but the desire to have a dog that is good with company was always desired. When Lloyd and I got together I already had a dog. He was a 25 pound lap down that loved people but not other dogs. We longed for a dog that would play with other dogs as well as be a loyal family dog. Fast forward to 2020, our beloved Figo passed away in April. Before he passed we had done hours of research in hopes of finding our perfect dog. Goldendoodles were on the top of our list. Not only are they beautiful and cuddly dogs but they have a desired temperament and loyalty to their families. I knew I wanted our kids to grow up with a dog that would protect them. In September of 2020 we brought home our Simba. He was just what we needed in 2020. He filled our home with unconditional love and laughter. We just absolutely adore him but something was telling me that we needed a girl. I wasn't sure what to expect but I knew I needed to have a girl. I've only had boy dogs and here I was thinking that having a girl dog she would love me more than my husband. Simba turned into such a daddy boy and that's probably why I wanted a girl, so she could love me the way Simba loves his daddy. In August of 2022 we welcomed our Hazel girl to the family. I brought her around with me wherever I went but that didn't matter, she was a daddy's girl and there I was all alone again, until one day, Simba became my shadow and as of today, he hasn't left my side. Our kids adore these two, they cuddle next to them when they are sick or sad and play fetch with them outside. Our dogs are family to us and we intend to keep them as long as they'll have us. Not only do they love us but they also saved our sons life. One day our son who is Autistic got out of our backyard, both hazel and Simba followed him into my neighbors backyard where they have a pool. Hazel followed our son while Simba alerted my parents that something wasn't right. When my dad realized what was happening, we found our son safe, with Hazel by his side. We will always be a Goldendoodle family for life and we owe them all of our gratitude.
